As part of the Mentoring for Free recipe, the seekers of the secrets to success in Network Marketing are entitled to a coaching call with the Mentoring for Free founder, Michael Dlouhy. Once during every one of these calls that I have been on, Michael has been sure to tell those seeking knowledge that they cannot do this business by themselves. He tells them that not only do they need a mentor, they need a team. Why a team? Whatever happened to "if it's meant to be, it's up to me"?
I am sure there are some superstars who can probably build a huge team based solely on their ability to recruit, but those people are very rare, and the teams they build rarely last. That is because the super recruiter rarely builds lasting relationships. But I think a better example of the need for a team can be found in the world of sports.
I am a big basketball fan, I love the game. One of my favorite players of all time is Wilt Chamberlain. Wilt was the only player in NBA history to score 100 points in a game. A phenomenal player. However, he had the misfortune of playing in the era of Bill Russell and the Boston Celtics. While Bill was a great player in his own right, he was not as big, and nowhere near as talented as Wilt. Wilt was the best player in the league, but Bill played on the better team. And those Celtics played like a team, and as a result won a record 8 championships in a row during Wilt's reign as the best player. I think it is ironic that the only championship that Wilt won, with the Lakers, was when he finally agreed to sacrifice his scoring for the benefit of the team.
Michael Jordon, arguably the greatest player in history, could not win a playoff series until he had a true team around him. He is one of the greatest scorers of all time. But I can think of a couple of championship series that were won because Michael passed the ball to an open teammate instead of trying to take the game winning shot himself. And each time, his teammate came through. Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest players in this era, is now facing losing season after losing season because he doesn't have a talented team around him.
I guess what I am trying to say is, I don't care how great you may be or think you are, you need other people to be successful at anything. Not only do you need a team, you need a coach, you need a mentor. Les Brown says that, "You can't see the picture if you're in the frame". Proverbs 21:2 basically says that every man is right in his own eyes. But our eyes aren't objective when we look at our own performance. You need to have honest feedback in order to make course corrections. And we all have something that may need correcting. But hey, Tiger Woods needs a coach. Michael Jordan needed a coach. Because even when you are really good, you can be better. This is especially true if the coach you choose has done what you have set out to do.
We are really fortunate here at Mentoring for Free because we have great coaches here with Michael Dlouhy, Ken Klemm, Brian Redding and all of the other senior mentors. We also have an incredible team of marketers from all around the world, each with unique gifts and strengths. And all together we make up an awesome Mastermind Group, encouraging each other, learning from each other, and helping each other along that road to success. Chapter 8- Decision- The Mastery of Procrastination

want, and generally get it. The leaders in every walk of life DECIDE quickly,
and firmly. That is the major reason why they are leaders. The world has
the habit of making room for the man whose words and actions show that
he knows where he is going”
The bell rang for me, when I read that quote from this week’s chapter. It makes me think of something that Michael said last week on the Leaders call about people having decisions made for them. (I wish I had written it down)
I made a decision in the beginning of this Mental Cleanse, to “get off the sideline and get into the game”. BE ALL IN. I have been just watching and warming the bench. Although watching is important too, eventually you have to try it yourself. After all, a wise woman once said, “there is no money in watching!”
I have been waiting for the right time, and the right time will never come. My procrastination comes from fear. Perhaps I have been listening to the naysayers and dream-stealers, usually disguised as friends and family, in my case.
Through the MFF program and this Mental cleanse and other trainings. I am learning to become a critical thinker, and this is exciting. I used to think that because I did not get a college degree, what I had to say was insignificant, and not much value. So this Oober Blue personality said nothing. Imagine that- a quiet BLUE! Not like we walk around with our diplomas in our pockets or purses anyway!
Starting now, I will create my future by creating a new and improved “Gayle” I can do nothing about the past. After all, where has my past actions gotten me? Just landing on my feet.
Recently my company announced that they are offering bonuses if we reach a leadership levels by the end of the year. Both Brian and I see that particular bonus so clearly. It will put us on the track to becoming Truly DEBT-FREE and owning our lives. I am not going to TRY for this bonus, I will DO IT!
“ I am a person of action. I am a leader, and I will hopefully inspire others to take action as well. All the pieces are in place and armed with the ebook in one hand, the colors in the other, I can brand myself, and attract others who want to join me in business, as I have seen others do before me. The consistent actions, (slight edge) which I do every day, even just a little bit to get Ebook downloads will get me to where I want and need to be. With the MMF system I am Daring, Fearless, Courageous, and WILL NOT FAIL! “

This chapter was truly amazing, Each time i go through this Book time and time again i learn something new through each chapter , Hill talks about the importance of organized planning! Mr Micheal Dlouhy did an amazing leadership skills call this past monday And i was So Enlightened by his words! Napoleon Hill speaks to us here about the Importance of the mastermind and Harmony within your group of minds that you have chosen to exchange ideas and thoughts with! The importance of leadership was also dissected deeply in this chapter and I am in full compliance of what is being tought about leadership here in this chapter!
I remember when i first got started here at mentoring for free a little less than 3 years ago and i was a very different person then and i had alot of habits and programming holding me back from really getting myself immersed in this process known as "Personal Development" But day by day and week by week I got closer and closer towards forming the habit of Following through on my PLANS to get on the calls, Get Ebook downloads and follow up with my Clients. You may ask me a question here like "Well was it easy to change all of that negative procrastination and self doubt"? the answer is NO! it certainly was not! Here i am 3 years later, Still close to the Fire... Still getting ebook downloads, And still posting lessons, and no matter what I Will never quit Finding my carpenters to build my team for my business! When reading the following paragraph, I finally saw the light, or as they say, a light bulb when on in my mind or I had a big AHA moment, and I quote:

and firmly. That is the major reason why they are leaders. The world has
the habit of making room for the man whose words and actions show that
he knows where he is going.” – Chapter 8 of Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.
So for eighteen years now, since I was introduced to Network Marketing in 1996, I have realized that this industry can not only make me a lot of money, make me debt free, let me own my life, let me leave a legacy for my family and the world and help me to not die with my music still in me. I also realized that this industry can also give me the time freedom to do whatever I wanted to do, whenever I wanted to do it.
Eighteen years ago I made the decision to never quit and as you can see, I have kept to that decision as I am still here. I also made a decision over four years ago when I was introduced to Mentoring for Free to make a decision to “BE ALL IN”.
But I have procrastinated for eighteen years now and that procrastination will stop right now. I now make the decision to do whatever it takes to become the leader that my God has intended me to be. I now make the decision to become the top leader in my company. I now make the decision to own my life, to become debt free and to reach all my goals. I now make the decision to do whatever I want to do, whenever I want to do it.
I have made the decision to go on a 90-day blitz (16 hours daily – 7 days a week) where I will constantly do the following.
(1) Continue to get e-Book downloads as some of these people may want to join me and my team.
(2) Continue to help every member of my team to reach and surpass their goals.
(3) Continue to be on all the calls and stay close to the fire in order to continue increasing my specialized knowledge.
(4) Continue to read great books to in order to develop my knowledge from the leaders who walked before me.
(5) Start speaking to more people as I go out and about daily when I go to church, go to the post office or run some chores.
(6) Do my self-talk at least 1,000 times daily so that I can reprogram my subconscious mind and build a unstoppable positive mindset.
(7) Constantly have in mind that I must find more customers and more distributors for my business.
I am not waiting until tomorrow to start this new journey. I have made the decision now and I am starting right now, right now, and RIGHT NOW.
So make a good decision today and stick to it to the end.

Upon reading and listening to this chapter, which by the way, I always read and listen to the chapters at the same time, brought me the key ideas of changing my lifetime of mediocrity and failure.
Positive thoughts bring about a money consciousness or success consciousness whereas negative thoughts bring about a poverty consciousness or failure consciousness.
Wow, wow, wow … sometimes it takes reading a chapter over and over again before the chapter finally sinks in and starts helping me to change my stinking thoughts.
It has taken many years of reading this book to finally be able to read it with more clarity. When I would read a chapter, my mind would drift off and I would start thinking of things which I had to do during the day.

Upon reading and listening to this chapter, which by the way, I always read and listen to the chapters at the same time, brought me the key ideas of changing my lifetime of mediocrity and failure.
Positive thoughts bring about a money consciousness or success consciousness whereas negative thoughts bring about a poverty consciousness or failure consciousness.
Wow, wow, wow … sometimes it takes reading a chapter over and over again before the chapter finally sinks in and starts helping me to change my stinking thoughts.
It has taken many years of reading this book to finally be able to read it with more clarity. When I would read a chapter, my mind would drift off and I would start thinking of things which I had to do during the day.

Top Network Marketing Truth Exposed On Faith Today
My opinion of Brian Redding's lesson on the top network marketing truth exposed on faith today is that people must say their self talk and do what they are supposed to do today so that tommorow they can have what others can't. If they do that then they will be on their way.
Faith is the necessary ingredient to making our desires into burning white hot desires. Without hope, our desires are more like wishes or dreams. If we all do not believe we will achieve our desires then we will never achieve them and they will always remain as wishes or dreams.
By strengthening our faith, we gain confidence in ourselves. We start believing in ourselves and we believe that we can achieve anything that we desire. It is the missing link between making our dreams, hopes and wishes into burning white hot desires.
Now where do we get our faith from and how do we strengthen it? Great question you may be asking yourselves. Our faith comes from Infinite Intelligence. We get our faith by doing our self-talk. By adding the faith we have into our self-talk, our self-talk not only becomes stronger but our faith grows as well.
There are days that go by when I do not do my self-talk. Even though I am focusing on my daily goals, there are times when I put my self-talk on the back burner and it does not get done. Being so busy helping people in the Mentoring for Free system and the people who have downloaded our e-Book to reach their goals, often keeps me from getting to do my self-talk. I need to schedule a time slot to do my self-talk.
So Andy Chaudhary, we will not be doing any training anymore at 4:00 pm. You are on your own and I wish you the best of luck. I am only joking Andy. I will find another time to do my self-talk so I will always help you to achieve your goals.
I must awake every morning an hour earlier like at 5:00 am like I did this morning to write my lesson plan. I had to do that because I am still procrastinating (but that is from another chapter). I know that I am getting a handle on my procrastination because I am procrastinating less and less. So I am starting on doing my self-talk every morning at 5:00 am until I get more organized with all my daily and weekly tasks.
They never said that becoming a leader and a better person would be easy. To master anything will take about 10,000 hours of dedicated work. But I have never been afraid of work and I am very dedicated to everything that I do, so I am well on my way of becoming a professional Network Marketer.
What makes thinks easier for me is that I love my work. I love learning new things. I love teaching and helping people. I was created to become a professional Network Marketer. I am now a professional Network Marketer and I believe that I will get better.
My belief is strong but it will get stronger by doing my self-talk.

Top Network Marketing Truth Revealed On Being A Champion With Persistence Today
Here is the top network marketing truth revealed on being a champion with persistence today written by my good friend and mentor Brian Redding.

The Eighth Step toward Riches
In this Chapter, Napoleon Hill gives us many examples of people around the world who showed an extreme amount of PERSISTENCE throughout their lives. I some cases their persistence or will power comes across as them being ruthless but on examining their strong habits, we see that they were not ruthless but very persistent.
Henry Ford created a good habit of always followed through with all of his plans.
He also mentioned that the majority of people are willing to give up so easily at the first sign of opposition or misfortune but it is people like the Fords, Carnegies, Rockefellers and Edisons who carry on despite all opposition to attain their goal.
He mentions how Fanny Hurst through her persistence conquered Broadway when thousands and thousands of people fail to ever reach their goals of being successful on Broadway. Talent alone will not do it as it also requires a person with a lot of persistence.
Kate Smith was another performer like Fanny Hurst who reached her goals as a top singer through her powerful will power and also conquered Broadway. It pays to be PERSISTENT.
Hill also speaks how Andrew Carnegie had taught him how to toss way his fear of criticism and for the next 20 years to organize a philosophy on personal achievement.
He mentions W.C. Fields went from being a comedian in vaudeville to being an actor in a new profession in the movies. This is just another sign of great persistence as he never gave up.
Marie Dressler was down and out but at an old age through her strong PERSISTENCE brought her outstanding triumph.
Eddie Cantor lost his entire fortune during the Great Depression of 1929, but because of his courage and persistence he created even a greater fortune.
The biggest AHA that I got from this Chapter is that IF ONE HAS PERSISTENCE, ONE CAN GET ALONG VERY WELL WITHOUT MANY OTHER QUALITIES. This seems to say that with a lot of persistence, we will reach our goals of success. I know that I have a lot of persistence as I am very hard headed and stubborn. So besides persistence which I believe that I have plenty of, I must also acquire the specialized knowledge which I will need to attract people to me but I also must get rid of my stinking thinking because I cannot afford to think that way anymore. I must change my poverty mindset to a wealth or prosperous mindset.
Hill also point out the four simple steps to lead to the habit of Persistence.
(1) A definite purpose backed by a burning desire for its fulfillment. That to me is owning my life and being completely debt free with complete financial security. I will not die with my music never being played. In my company it is reaching the level of Black Diamond and creating many Black Diamonds on my journey which is a very happy journey.
(2) A definite plan expressed with continuous action. My plan is to always be close to the fire where I can learn from people like Michael Dlouhy, Tom “Big Al” Schreiter, Richard Dennis, Jerry ‘D’Rhino’ Clark, Artemis Limpert and Jim Rohn. I must speak up on all these calls and do a lesson plan weekly. I must reachout to people who are struggling in the Network Marketing industry and help them with their goals. I must find customers and sponsor distributors. I must spend many hours on the telephone following up with people who need my help.
(3) A mind closed tightly against all negative and discouraging influences, including all negative suggestions of relatives, friends and acquaintances. By doing my self-talk daily, I will build my immune system against these dream stealers who want to pull me back into their rat hole.
(4) A friendly alliance with one or more persons who will encourage and not discourage me to follow through with both plan and purpose. Well I have that in my Wednesday Mental Cleanse family who participate on the calls and who also submit a lesson plan weekly that continuously inspires me and teaches me that I am not alone in my desires and the mindset needed to achieve them.
Hill also mentions how Wallace Simpson won over the heart of King Edward of England with her constant persistence and her great love for this man.
Mohammed the great prophet who wrote the Koran and started a new religion had a very up and down life but his great persistence made him very revered among the Arabic population.

Network Marketing Truth Exposed On Using Specialized Knowledge Today
An intelligent network marketing truth exposed that my good friend and mentor Brian Redding describes is using specialized knowledge today. He describes the use of specialized knowledge to get traffic to your blog so that people can spread the word about you!
Most people who think of knowledge feel that knowledge is something you acquire from universities, from newspapers and magazines, and from the media like radio and television. This knowledge is called generalized knowledge which will not aid in taking your ideas and dreams and transmute them into their monetary value.
Our elders are always telling us to get an education, go to college, hook up with a company and you will be taken care of for the rest of your life. They tell us that because they also did that and do not know any better.
But specialized knowledge gets acquired by doing a lot of trial and error. This is knowledge which is not found where general knowledge is found.
It may come from what a colleague of our Mastermind Team may say or write. It may come from an idea which might come into our minds when listening and participating on any of our Mentoring for Free skeills call.
We all have been told that for people to be attracted to us on the Internet, we must brand ourselves. We all know that to brand yourself you must post, you should lik and comments other people’s posts, must create a great profile, must create an attractive fan page, and also write a blog about new things that you are learning.
Now how do you write a blog. We have many recorded skills calls which will guide you in writing a blog. It all starts with posting one article maybe every two weeks until that become a habit and become part of your life. Then after you have created this two week habit, you may want to move that habit to once a week and create that new habit. Once you have made this a weekly habit, it will be easy to change your habit and make it twice weekly and even maybe daily. Posting articles becomes easier after you have posted 10 of them. They even become a lot easier after you have posted 50 or 100 of them.
Besides creating your blog, you also must be able to promote your blog. You must get people to read it, like it, and also comment on it. You can help this cause by getting back links by reading other people’s articles and like and add your comments. Since we are all in Network Marketing, we might want to pick a Network Marketing topic to write about. This will attract other Network Marketers to us and other Network Marketers who write blogs. That doesn’t say that you may write on a topic that does not have anything to do with Network Marketing because that will show that you have diversified thinking.
We do not need to acquire all the specialized knowledge so that our minds know everything. But we must know where to go to get the knowledge we need whether that be another Mastermind member or being able to find this knowledge from recorded skills calls, from googling the Internet or even by asking a worker at your Public Library.
Hoping this post will help you light the fire to your acquiring of specialized knowledge as it really has helped me by writing it and getting me to “GET INTO ACTION”.

MLM Truth On Subconscious Mind Today
This how Brian Redding describes the mlm truth regarding the subconscious mind.
After reading and listening to this chapter, it suddenly donned on me that this is the most important chapter in the book.
But how did I come to this conclusion? There are 14 other chapters which are very good.
But this is the chapter that tells us how to change our thinking.
We must reprogram our minds in order to get rid of the bad programming which we have taken on by all the negative people we have come in contact with all of our lives.
By doing our self-talk daily for 100, 250, 500 or even 1,000 times, we have the power to reprogram our thinking.
But our self-talk must be done in a quiet place and must be done aloud.
A critical piece which we must have when we do our self-talk is that we must believe and have complete faith in what we are saying.
Over time, days, weeks, months and years, our subconscious mind will accept what we are constantly telling it over and over again.
Then and only then can our minds truly think what we want to think and not all the thoughts and suggestions which our family, friends and acquaintances have done to our minds over many years.
We have played what they all told us over and over in our minds and created our reality.
It is now time to change our thinking and our reality by doing our positive self-talk daily as many times as we can.
