On this 15th Anniversary of Mentoring For Free I’d like 
to reflect on why it began. I believe it was created to 
combat two evil cousins of Fear: Greed and Ego. These 
two do nothing to create riches, but they destroy 
wealth and dash dreams into dust.

Impressions

Most people think of Network Marketing (or Multi-Level 
Marketing) opportunities as “get rich quick” schemes 
where hard-working folks can be scammed into losing 
everything.

Why? Because that’s the way “heavy hitters” presented 
them. “You can quit your job and take out a second 
mortgage to fill your garage with products. It’s okay 
because you’re gonna make a fortune before the first 
payment is due, and you’ll pay off the whole debt and 
move into a luxury mansion.”

Most mlm companies looked the other way because lots of 
money came rolling in, and did nothing to police these 
activities until threatened with prosecution.

Many people today think of immigrants as people who 
cross borders to pick someone’s crops, work in 
someone’s mine or clean other people’s houses and 
businesses.

Many people think of Free Market Capitalism as 
something evil. They hear about hedge fund managers 
running Ponzi schemes and computer algoes moving 
massive funds in and out of positions at the speed of 
light.

All these impressions are distortions driven by the 
Greed and Ego of people who abuse other folks’ time and 
resources.

Reality

MLM taps directly into the power of word-of-mouth 
advertising, and creates a level playing field where 
anyone can grow a business to any size without the 
initial enormous risk and investment of traditional 
businesses or franchises.

Immigrants cross oceans for the prospect of growing 
crops on their own farms, discovering their own 
precious metal mines, and building their own homes and 
businesses.

The capital markets allow companies to expand their 
capabilities to serve more customers while giving every 
person opportunities to participate with companies they 
believe in as co-owners.

The free market enables individuals to exercise their 
unique skills and passions to serve people and 
contribute to their economies. These include historic 
business legends like Henry Ford who had a passion for 
making automobiles affordable to anyone; or Steve Jobs, 
whose passion was creating high tech devices anyone 
could learn to use. More recently, folks like Ron 
Popeil who, like his father Samuel, had a passion for 
inventing labor-saving kitchen gadgets more affordable 
than fancy French machines; or Mike Lindell, whose 
passion is helping people get a good sleep without 
spending thousands on high tech beds.

The Big Picture

Aside from the highly specialized knowledge and skill 
sets of any niche, the general business-building 
principles and skills are the same - no matter whether 
it’s a network marketing, landscaping, house framing, 
printing, auto sales or any other business.

Napoleon Hill did not pull his success philosophy out 
of thin air. It is the result of observing and 
interviewing 500 of the most accomplished people of the 
early 20th century. 

Dale Carnegie did not dream up his principles for 
winning friends and influencing people. He studied many 
of the best relators and influencers from history.

Likewise, while Mentoring For Free’s training has been 
focused mostly on network marketing, the trainers draw 
upon their life experiences and observations.

As network marketers can learn from traditional 
business, so may entrepreneurs in traditional 
businesses learn from network marketing. Whether one’s 
passion is running a restaurant, selling insurance, or 
designing and building model train layouts, the skills 
discussed here may benefit them.

Building self-confidence and belief (Think and Grow 
Rich Lessons), understanding people (Personality 
Colors), and pull-through marketing (being a problem 
solver) are all valid skill sets for any entrepreneur. 
Specific knowledge here such as the Five Pillars and 
Business Models may be applied to ANY business. Any 
entrepreneur could also put our tools, such as the

The sixth sense is the creative imagination's receiving set, I call it that still
small voice, this still small voice brings the wisdom of the creator of all things.

Mr. Hill states nature NEVER deviates from it's established laws, and some of
these laws are so incomprehensible that they produce what we call miracles.

These miracles happen everyday millions of times a day, it lack of understanding
that leads us to believe that these miracles only happen occasionally. I believe
ounce we understand that these miracles are common place that it opens up our
understanding that we live in a miraculous world.

We live in a world of possibilities, all things are possible to him who believes,
and all our getting get understanding.

As i begin to understand one of the purposes of self-talk is to bring us to a
level of thinking and vibration that clears our mind of the clutter so we can
hear that still small voice of the creator, communicating wisdom to us every
moment, not just one hunch or idea but one after another, the wisdom flows
continually, it the clutter that blocks our hearing, and it's the self-talk that
removes the clutter.

I have come to understand like Mr. Hill says if I neglect my life's purpose
for any reason, I feel I would be reduced to a primal state. as I evolve and
grow it becomes clear that my mission in life is to effect as many people in
a positive manner as I possibly can, in some cases it may be pointing them
in the right direction that will bring them out of financial hardship, in other
cases it may be character issues or emotional difficulties, the point is to use
this new found understanding of the power of the creator for the betterment
of my follow man.

It's a different feeling when we approach life and the attainment of our
goals from this prospective it takes the focus off the money, and puts it
on building people, helping others to find their way, to get the clarity we
all need to be better people and have the success we all desire in our lives.

As I move forward THANK YOU doesn't nearly cover the gratitude I wish
to express to Michael and Linda for the hard work they put into this great
forum of Mentoring For Free.

I'm just beginning to understand what personal development means and
how it effects everything we do and everything we are becoming.

It is amazing to me how much specialized knowledge I have
acquired in the last 4 plus years since becoming involved

Comparing where I was in August of 2010 before I

to where I am today, where I am today is so much better.
In 4 plus years, I have learned the specialized knowledge of
how to create, develop, and maintain relationships with
prospects. I have learned how to craft magic sequences of
words that allow me to prospect successfully both offline
and online at will. I have learned how to effectively advertise
my business opportunity and products online and offline.
I have learned how to teach others what I know to help
them to become more skilled and more successful. I am
still learning the personality colors and am close to
mastering these skills.

Specialized knowledge has allowed me to become a
network marketing professional and a network marketing
expert and I am so very proud of these accomplishments!

Mr. Hills gives us the formula. We need to repeatedly tell ourselves we are on this mission and we will succeed. "I am" is more powerful to our subconscious mind than the words "I can".

"I can" comes because I have a most powerful system to use thanks to our creators of MFF, Michael Dlouhy and Richard Dennis.

"I am" is the faith I have in me and the system.

Back in the days of Mr. Hill, they had no systems like we have today. But they learned how to network with powerful successful minded people and mastermind!

It's been a true test for me these past couple of weeks, since having to look for a job!

I wondered how I was going to keep momentum. At the same time, I had to re-adjust and slow down once again. Slow down the chatter of my brain with all the questions I am asking it in regards to finding a job.

Michael is right; we need self talk like we need oxygen!

At this point I must concentrate on landing a job, so my “self talk” now has shifted because bills need to be paid. Though, I am continuing to do what I must to build my business also, which is much easier to do now because of repeated "self talk" everyday!

I only need part time work and all my bills would be paid! I have complete Faith that I will have one soon.

Without my precious self talk getting me into action, I would be lost in this effort. But because of my “self talk”, I am able to make plans and keep going.

There is no substitute for self talk my friend, so keep talking all the good positive vibrations you need to bring life to your “self talk”.

Chapter 15 of Think And Grow Rich!

There is not enough room here for me to write about all that I learned from reading this Chapter. So, I will highlight the most important things I received from reading this Chapter. But, first, please allow me to thank my friends and colleagues, Margi Starr and Ken Klemm, for the figurative spanking they administered to me on Saturday, September 6, 2014. You see, friends, I have allowed myself to ignore this Mental Cleanse part of my network marketing business. I have allowed myself to be busy doing other things from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Central Standard Time, instead of attending and participating in this Master Mind group. And, I apologize to those within my organization. And, here is my new promise. I will never again miss being here and participating here.

The way I conquered indecision, doubt, and fear was by creating and consistently using the habit of action. By taking the actions that I believed would lead me to the results I desired, in the process I killed indecision, doubt, and fear. I know of no better plan for defeating these three enemies than action. And, my actions have made all the difference for my business and for myself.

But, before I could begin taking the actions I knew I needed to take that would bring me the results I desired, I had to learn specific actions to take. Another word for "learning specific actions to take" is the word "skills"! I had to and did learn the "skill" of knowing exactly what I want. I want to own my mind. I want to own my life. I want to own my fortune. So, I set upon a determined purpose to learn how to get "quality" e-book downloads. I did this by learning how to effectively advertise the "Success In 10 Steps" e-book. As my friend Ken Klemm so eloquently and frequently states, there is no better way to learn and master something than to teach it. So, after I learned how to advertise and get e-book downloads, I started teaching others how to do what I do. Now, getting quality e-book downloads is easy and automatic. Getting customers and distributors is now easy and automatic. And, helping others to do what I do has become easy and automatic. I now own my mind. I now own my life. The only thing that I do not YET own is my fortune. But, I will! It is only a matter of time. And, I know that it will not take much more time. My time for owning my fortune is near. I know that it will not be much longer. I know that my time is near and at hand.

Hill writes that Plato said that the first and best victory is to conquer self. Well, I have done it. I have conquered myself. I know what I want. I know how to get what I want. And, I know that I shall have it. Period. Done. End of discussion. Hill writes that Edison knew that the mind could produce anything the mind could conceive and believe. I, myself, learned at a young age, as a pre teenager, that "thoughts are things"! And, I learned this from first reading "Think And Grow Rich" at around age 12. So, I determined that if thoughts really are things then any thought I had could transform itself into its physical equivalent. So, my thoughts of owning a fortune that will not only satisfy and sustain myself but that will also sustain and satisfy generations to come after me, will, undoubtedly, transform themselves into their physical equivalent. And, the vehicle to make this all happen is my network marketing business. I know of no other vehicle that will take me where I want to go.

Again, Margi and Ken, thank you for reminding me how important this fueling station is to the continued performance of my vehicle!

If your upline is telling you to recruit, recruit, and make a list of your friends and family then run because it is illegal to recruit anyone in a business that has no product. Too many people do not pay attention to that obvious thing.
Another thing is that if your company is paying only 2% retail sale every time you make one then there is another red flag too, due to the fact that the rest of the money gets split up for the company purchasing a new building, a country club, a jet just to show off and fake what gets done. Thirdly Richard Dennis mentioned that the compensation plan has to pay the part time person. Lets get back to retail now. You must make at least 35%-40% whenever you sell a product to someone, especially when there is that part time person earning that extra paycheck on a shoestring budget to pay their bills and the product must be consumable every single month.
You must have autoship in this business to consume the product and retail the product as well. If there is no autoship then there is no business. You can write it off as an overhead expense on your Schedule C.
