THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND consists of a field of consciousness, in which every impulse of thought that reaches the objective mind through any of the five senses, is classified and recorded, and from which thoughts may be recalled or withdrawn as letters may be taken from a filing cabinet. - Napoleon Hill
Our subconscious mind controls the actions we take. It controls all our thoughts, positive or negative. It is always working.
One of Google's definitions of thoughts is:
"Positive thinking just means that you approach unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. You think the best is going to happen, not the worst. Positive thinking often starts with self-talk."
It's nice that Google agrees with Michael.
I wonder what would happen if everybody, just before going to sleep said, "I am grateful for having had an immensely successful day."? Along with their positive self-talk, this and other grateful statements from the book, "The Magic" by Rhonda Byrne might just start causing some significant positive things to happen in their life.
Again, Hill makes reference to Chapter 2, DESIRE. When we say our self-talk several hundred times, daily, connect the results of Chapter 2 of Success In 10 Steps with Chapter 2 of Think and Grow Rich lessons, we begin to build FAITH. With enough FAITH, CONFIDENCE will come, if we have enough PERSISTENCE.
Thoughts are things. We create our own reality by what we tell ourselves, either positive or negative.
Hill gives us seven major positive emotions:
The emotion of DESIRE The emotion of FAITH The emotion of LOVE The emotion of SEX The emotion of ENTHUSIASM The emotion of ROMANCE The emotion of HOPE and an eight one is PROSPERITY
Chapter 3 FAITH, Step 2 suggest we spend some time thinking of the person we expect to become. Visualize that person. See Yourself doing the things You plan to do when You get reach Your ultimate success.
Michael has given us a perfect example of what happens when we lose FAITH. Sarah Thompson decided to create her own website. She may have been saying her proper self-talk and thought she was generating the right amount of FAITH, but her actions spoke differently. She felt, maybe Mentoring For Free and her company needed her expertise. She was very good at building website, but her FAITH was lacking. The Universe, Infinite Intelligence or God knew this also. We aren't going to fool any of these three.
At times our thoughts over rule our words sometimes. We can't fool Mother Nature.
